Who We Are
Made by the community, for the community

The Villager started with a simple idea: Lake Village deserves a place where everything happening in our community is easy to find — for locals, for newcomers, and for the visitors passing through on Highway 65 who might just decide to stay a little longer.

We're a small town, but we are alive. There are festivals on the lake, history talks at the library, volunteer cleanups at dawn, city council meetings, community mixers, and a hundred small moments that make this place worth knowing. The Villager is where you find all of it.

This calendar is a community project, not a commercial one. It's free to use, free to submit events, and maintained by people who genuinely love Lake Village and want to see it thrive — as a place to live, to visit, and to be proud of.

What we accept & how it works

What We Accept
Public events in or around Lake Village and Chicot County — festivals, community gatherings, government meetings, arts events, outdoor activities, markets, and more. If it's open to the public, we want to share it.

Review Timeline
All submissions are reviewed by our volunteer team before going live. We aim to approve or follow up within 2–3 business days. Submit early — especially for festivals and recurring events.

What We Need
Event name, date, time, location, a brief description, and your contact info (not shown publicly). The more detail you give us, the better we can present your event to the community.

Recurring Events
Weekly or monthly recurring events are welcome. Note your recurrence schedule in the submission form and we'll get it set up so you don't have to resubmit every time.

Need to update or cancel a listed event? Use the contact form below and reference your event name. We'll take care of it promptly.

What We Don't List
Private events, purely commercial promotions, or events outside our coverage area. When in doubt, submit anyway — we'll reach out if something needs adjusting.
